Photo's in this Album are compliments of Mr. Zeke Ressler, a Hillclimber from 11/70 - 11/71, mostly taken within the Can Tho AO.

The maint. Officers (Cpt. Cahill ) 5/4 truck which I drove.

A hill climber in it's reventment.
Construction of the new macadam runway at Can Tho AAF.
More construction.
One of the Caribou's that regularly flew into and out of the airfield.
This was a camp just north of the airfield. I'm not sure, but I think they were P.O.W.'s.
One of the many houses along the road to Can Tho.
This was a Texaco station going north towards the Naval Base.
Some sort of road marker along the road to Can Tho.
One of the nicer villa's outside the Airfield.
Downtown Can Tho.
More downtown Can Tho.
One of the rivers flowing through Can Tho.
Another house beside the road to Can Tho.
One of the many drainage ditches in the area.
This was a Temple, I believe, along the road to the naval base.
Another river shot going to Can Tho.
Some of the sampans that would work the rivers during the rainy season.
One of the Hill Climbers doing a hover check during take-off.
My old 5/4 on the flight line with a Hill Climber slinging an engine removal crane in the background.
One of my buddies, I think his name was Tom Skillman, telling me what he thought of the whole situation.
One of the many loh's that were constantly taking off and landing directly behind our hooch.
A cobra going over a few Hill Climbers.
Looking across the Airfield at the control tower.
Another shot of one of the caribou's.
This was a Beaver landing or taking off.
C-123 that would stop by occasionally.
Same plane taking off.
The Airfield fire department.
This was a huey that was shot down and recovered by the Hill Climbers.
More of the shot down huey.
My old 5/4 inside the Hill Climbers Hangar.
This was parked right outside our back door. To the right of the picture is the small club that was built there in 71.
This was our motor pool sergeant. I forget his name.
Who could ever forget the cockpit of a Chinook.
Standing on the ramp looking forward.
I'm not sure what I was doing on top of this bird. Maybe I was helping my buddy Billy C Morgan, our engine man.
Just a side shot of one of our birds.
This was "Buck" Buchanan taking a break.
Two of the maintenance guys fixing something.
I think this was SGT. Schoppe with his crew in the background replacing a rotor blade.
A couple of our birds.
This one waits for a new forward transmission.
Just one of the stray dogs that hung around the compound.
This is the front of the Hill Climbers hangar.
This is part of the mountain of sand that was pumped from one of the rivers for the runway construction project.
This was one of the generators that supplied power for our side of the airfield.
The hooch on the right was the flight platoon's, to the left was the maint. platoon.
Some of the equipment in our motor pool.
Looking out over an empty reventment to the outskirts of Can Tho.
Wash day.
The ammo bunker for the Hill Climbers.
The Can Tho AAF movie theater.
The post PX.
This was the inflatable storage building for the PX.
This was the Airfields rec. center, and yes, it really was pink!
Believe it or not, but you could take classes at the Education Center.
We all remember the nights on guard duty in bunkers like this one.
An empty parking lot. Must have been one of our many busy days.
This was the small pond at the far end of our flight line.
I'm not sure exactly where this is, but it's probably soon after take-off, headed for Saigon.
Again, a shot from the air, maybe the Air Force or Naval base not far from Can Tho AAF.
Somewhere in the air over the delta.
This concludes Zeke's photo contribution, hope you enjoyed the trip down memory lane. - Anyone with any questions, or just want to say Hi to Zeke, contact him HERE.
