Comments: Found your site helping my Uncle Leon White locate some buddies from the 147th, Vietnam, 68, Roland Pies & John Yuill. Have located Roland still looking for John. Told them about your site. Enjoy all of your links. So do my 2 sons who are really into history, especially Vietnam. Just wanted to say thank you to all of you. Somehow I had the feeling you all were doing it for me personally! Was just a kid, but you get the idea. I plan to keep history alive through my sons.

Comments: I enjoyed your site I was with MACV stationed at Vinh Long (12/69 to 12/70) made trips to Can-Tho and other areas in the IV Corps. I arrived at Ben Hoa. Was sent to Vung Tau for 2 weeks jungle training. VC Mt and beer guzzling Aussies along with a nice beach but trips into the Rung Sat Swamps were the pits.

Comments: I'm a proud member and platoon leader of the once, 147th, then B, 214th and now most recently B Co, 3-25 Avn Regt. Instead of a single platoon 8 chinook unit we are 12 ships strong and now on the unit's first deployment to Iraq. Our Battalion is a General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB) along with a Medavac and VIP/A2C2 companies. Thank you for having this website showing the unit's history. I can send you our new patch if you'd like.

Comments: Nice web page. I crewed with Jason Teage in 83-86 as well as Bruce Holden from the engine shop. It was cool to see him again in the photo. I didnt notice my name on the roster though which i thought was interesting. Anyway thanks and keep up the good work.........

Comments: I just found the website. I think it is wonderful and hope my old buddies see it. I was assigned to the 17th in 86-89. I remember thinking when I was told what I would be working on that I had seriouly offended someone. I was an electrician and they can be a bit difficult at times. Little did I know how many great times and great friends I would experience. Keep up the great work and I am proud to be a hillclimber.

Comments: Greetings Hillclimbers: Welcome to the new 147th Hillclimbers Guestbook! I configured a new script for us because of the massive influx of SPAM entries. I included a "Numerical Verification" system to the script. I'm leaving the old guestbook active (just removing the link to it), copy all the entries, and make a link to them in the directory for posterity. This way, the Spammer can go ahead on with his crap and we don't have to look at it.
